Purpose Beyond the Page
Our Commitment to Giving
At Thrive! Books, we believe the impact of a great story shouldn’t end when you close the cover. Since mid-2025, David Harrison has committed 100% of all net profits from Thrive! Books—including royalties and all other income—to causes that mirror God’s own heart.
A Biblical Mandate for Compassion
While religious traditions are often debated, the Bible is remarkably clear on one point: taking care of those in need. Throughout the Old and New Testaments, there are more than 2,000 references to caring for the vulnerable.
For David, the mission of Thrive! Books is rooted in the definition of “pure religion” found in James 1:27:
“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.”
Our Primary Causes
We focus our resources on two specific areas where we believe we can make a tangible, life-changing difference:
Orphans and Widows: Providing support and resources for those who have lost their primary means of protection and
provision.
Presently, we support Home of Grace Care Centre in rural western Kenya.
Pregnancy Care Centres: Supporting organizations that provide practical care for those facing unexpected pregnancies and compassionate support for those dealing with post-abortion grief. We believe all life is precious and deserves to be treated with dignity and love.
Presently, we support the Pregnancy Care Centre Toronto and Christine’s Place in Huntsville, Ontario.
Your Words Have Power
Every time you engage with a Thrive! book, you are participating in this mission. As David notes in the back of every publication:“If you’re willing, would you consider leaving a review on Amazon?1 Reviews matter more than most readers realize. Please know this as well: one hundred percent of the profits from the sale of my books go toward helping orphans, widows, and Pregnancy Care Centres. Your few words could go much further than you think.”By choosing Thrive! Books, you aren’t just buying a book—you’re joining a movement to care for the ‘least of these.’
